I love finding new and interesting restaurants, and luckily for me, London is filled with them! Last week I took the tube to Chancery Lane, walked about ten minutes, and ended up at the Fable Farringdon. My friend Michaela and I had a reservation for seven and decided to treat ourselves to a full three-course meal and drinks!
The menu was filled with delicious options and exciting drinks, daily specials and inspired cocktails. I started off with a passion fruit mojito and Michaela opted for the porn star, and while we sipped our cocktails we got some bread for the table, while deciding on the main course.
The food was absolutely delicious. Really tasty and filling, making both of us fall into a serious food coma. We started off with crispy squid with lemon mayonnaise and the chicken satay with peanut sauce, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with our decision.
For main courses, I went for one of their daily specials, a delicious duck dish, and Michaela went for the Lamb chops with crushed new potatoes. I always ask the waiter what he or she would recommend, and in this case it was the duck – and he was right! It was absolutely delicious and went really well with the couscous salad it was served with. We also got some spinach on the side that went really well with both our dishes!
We finished our meal with dessert, of course. Dessert really shouldn’t be missed! We went back and forth between the Rasberry Panna Cotta, the chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, or the chocolate and caramel tart, before finally deciding on the tart!
Throughout the evening service was fantastic as our waiter really made sure we had a good time and that everything was to our liking. He was knowledgeable about the food and drinks, and gave us some good recommendations! The whole restaurant was really cosy with a lot of quirky details, like a book booth for larger parties, or lots of plants above the bar.
A big thank you to the Fable Farringdon for inviting me for such a delicious dinner! All opinions and photos are my own.
